I personally think they're rather insightful.

Digimon Tri: Loss came out back in February, which is quite a while ago. Although it would be possible to comment on the entirety of Loss, I find myself compelled to comment on the initial part of the movie, most specifically the digivolution lines of the original five digidestined's digimon.

At the moment, the Digimon Wikia for the Digimon Sovereigns states that "Due to the Digivolution happening offscreen, it is uncertain which of Hippogriffomon, LoaderLiomon, and Triceramon digivolved to Azulongmon, Baihumon, and Zhuqiaomon. For simplicity, this wiki assumes that the avian, Bird-species Hippogriffomon digivolved to Zhuqiaomon, the feline, Machine-species LoaderLiomon digivolved to Baihumon, and the reptilian, Dragon-species Triceramon digivolved to Azulongmon." [1]

Although I can understand the sentiment there and I myself would have tended towards those digivolution choices myself, I find that the visuals in Loss may point towards a different set of digivolutions, specifically that LoaderLiomon digivolves into Zhuqiaomon and Hippogriffomon digivolves into Azulongmon. I base this theory with several points of evidence.

First of all, the Digimon Sovereign are based on the four divine beasts that represent the four directions in Chinese Mythology: Ebonwumon is the Black Turtle of the North, Zhuqiaomon is the Vermilion Bird of the South, Azulongmon is the Azure Dragon of the East, and Baihumon is the White Tiger of the West. We already know that Orochimon digivolves into Ebonwumon as of 4:27 to 4:31 in Loss, which gives the reference point of North. If we back up to 04:16, it shows LoaderLiomon, Hippogriffomon, Orochimon, and Triceramon appear clockwise in what seems to be a configuration of the four directions. Because LoaderLiomon is facing opposite of Orochimon, LoaderLiomon is in the position of "South." Using that as the compass, Triceramon becomes "East" and Hippogriffomon becomes "West." Following this logic, LoaderLiomon should digivolve into Zhuqiaomon, Triceramon should digivolve into Azulongmon and, Hippogriffomon should digivolve into Baihumon. This order is also shown at 3:29 all the way until 3:40 and again between 3:47 until 3:50. In addition, the Sovereigns fall into the same locations between 5:12 to 5:13.

Secondly, although it can be argued that Hippogriffomon and LoaderLiomon should be switched because Daigo Nishijima's last name translates to "west island" [2] which could be a reference to Baihumon as he is the representation of the White Tiger of the West, there are two points that I feel may oppose this deduction. As of 2:29, we can see that there is a pair of goggles laying near Daigo's head, which labels him as the "goggle boy" of the group and, as we all know, goggle boys have the attribute of "fire," which would be the same as Zhuqiaomon. Further evidence that Zhuqiaomon is the digivolution of Daigo's partner LoaderLiomon is that at 5:12 he can be seen on the field where the Digimon Sovereigns are falling to the ground and he is facing towards Zhuqiaomon rather than Baihumon.

I also feel somewhat too bad that they did not digivolve Megadramon into Huanglongmon to complete the Digimon Sovereign, however it may be because Huanglongmon is supposed to be a DNA digivolution between all four of the Digimon Sovereign.
